was wondering what type of yoga classes are offered. I live here in San Miguel and am looking for a Vinyasa style class to take 5x a week in a nice place.

Hi Crystal, I teach a gentle style of yoga three days a week for stress management, healing, and as a preparation for meditation.

If you want to know about Vinyasa yoga here in San Miguel, you would probably do best to Google it.

Good luck,

After icing my knee I have elevated my legs just as you instructed in your blog about knee injuries . I have never had a problem with my knees in my life until I came to SMA six weeks ago. The ancient cobblestones along with the extremely steep driveways that interrupt the sidewalks are providing an extremely challenging walking experience for me. I’m trying to relax as you suggested but I have to admit to being frustrated. I love walking, I have other exercise limitations, and I don’t want to lose this exercise. I would like to know if your yoga class is good for somebody who lacks flexibility and has some physical functionality limitations. Thank you very much,

Hi Beth, My group yoga class would be just fine for you, but I am not teaching it right now. Sorry. However, two things that will help you right now.

1. You can practice with my free video clips to gently loosen all the joints, and muscles of your body. There are 15 videos on my channel or search them here on my website.

2. Keep your knees slightly bent when you walk on these cobblestone streets, especially when you are walking downhill. If you walk with straight, stiff legs, you will aggravate the knees and other joints. In addition to having stiff knees, if your ankles and hips are stiff, you are more apt to aggravate your knees.

I realize that right now these streets are an aggravation to you. However, if you use the knee pain as a catalyst to inspire you to loosen up your body, you will benefit with less pain and a healthier body.

I wish you success and Namasté,
