If you are a beginning meditator and need some help, or if you have been at it quite awhile and are interested in some expert advice on how to meditate better, here is a video Interview of Swami Smaranananda Giri of Yogoda Satsanga Society of India based upon the teachings of Paramahansa Yogananda, author of Autobiography of a Yogi and founder of YSS and SRF (Self-Realization Fellowship.)

If you are interested in learning how to go deeper and fine tune your meditation practice, you can read in Self-Realization Magazine “Deepening Our Practice of Meditation” Part I Fall 2012 and Part II Winter 2012. I was very fortunate to hear Swami Smaranananda give this talk at the 2010 SRF Convocation, where he showed long-time meditators how to make the whole experience better.

I hope this will inspire you to practice meditation. Think it is too difficult? Just begin. There is a lot of help available to you. Even the greatest yogis/meditators had to begin at the beginning. You can do it.

I wish you great success.

This is one of the most informative videos I have ever seen on the methodology of yoga meditation. Thank you for thoughtfully sharing this.
